Extending the Summer in the Sun
Winter Flight Schedule Shines with Record-Breaking Egypt Connection
Starting at the end of October, Nuremberg Airport launches its winter flight schedule with over 40 nonstop destinations. “This time, our passengers can look forward to an especially extensive Egypt offer – including Sharm El-Sheikh as a new destination,” announces airport managing director Dr. Michael Hupe. “Popular holiday regions such as the Canary Islands, Italy, and Turkey are also well represented.”
While days in Germany grow shorter and colder, Egypt beckons with a winter full of warmth, color, and relaxation: The Red Sea offers not only turquoise waters and dreamy beaches, but also a fascinating underwater world, luxurious resorts, and cultural treasures. From Nuremberg Airport, travelers can fly with Marabu, Corendon Airlines, Eurowings, and Air Cairo to diving hotspots like Hurghada, Marsa Alam, and (new from November 4) Sharm El-Sheikh to enjoy a relaxing beach holiday. Hurghada will be served more frequently than ever before in a winter season – with up to 20 weekly departures.
Spanish City Destinations Trending
In addition to Spanish classics like Mallorca and the Canary Islands, the Iberian Peninsula itself offers attractive autumn and winter destinations: Ryanair flies to Alicante, Malaga, Seville, and Valencia, while Vueling connects Barcelona to Nuremberg. Mild Mediterranean climates also await in Bari and Palermo (Italy) and Thessaloniki (Greece). SunExpress, Freebird, Corendon, and Pegasus continue to fly to Turkey’s holiday paradise Antalya throughout the winter. A special winter tip for hiking and nature lovers: the evergreen Madeira and Faro in Portugal.
Christmas Shopping in London
Major cities are especially popular during the colder months: For Christmas shopping in London, Ryanair and British Airways offer flights; Air France flies to Paris, KLM to Amsterdam, Ryanair to Budapest, Air Serbia to Belgrade, and Turkish Airlines to Istanbul. Air France is increasing its Paris service to three daily flights.
Strong Eastern Europe Program
The Eastern Europe program is also robust: Wizz Air serves five destinations in Romania alone, including the new additions Timișoara and Brașov – both joining the flight schedule from October 13. Other destinations include Moldova, North Macedonia, Lithuania, and Bulgaria.
Global destinations are also accessible via major hub airports.
By the way, it’s already worth taking a look at summer 2026: Many holiday destinations are already bookable.
