New Moroccan Destination Adds Oriental Flair to the Winter Flight Schedule
New from Nuremberg: Ryanair Launches Flights to Agadir
Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg and Ryanair are further expanding their route network to Morocco: Starting with the upcoming winter schedule, the Irish airline will introduce flights to the coastal city of Agadir. Following Rabat, Agadir becomes Ryanair’s second destination in the North African kingdom, offering travelers from the metropolitan region attractive opportunities for cultural, nature, and leisure trips, particularly during the winter months.
With its mild temperatures and more than 300 days of sunshine each year, Agadir is a popular destination, especially between November and March. Rather than a traditional beach holiday, visitors can enjoy long walks along the Atlantic coast, rounds of golf under clear blue skies, or excursions into the diverse landscapes of southern Morocco. Agadir is also considered an ideal starting point for tours throughout Morocco. Particularly popular are trips to Marrakesh, which can be reached in approximately three hours by car. The famous imperial city captivates visitors with its colorful souks, magnificent palaces, and the legendary Djemaa el Fna square.
Marcel Pouchain Meyer, Country Manager and Head of Communications DACH at Ryanair, commented:
"We are delighted to offer Agadir as a new and attractive winter destination from Nuremberg, giving our customers even more choice at Ryanair’s consistently low fares. At the same time, the persistently high access costs in Germany, particularly the excessive air transport tax, continue to hinder additional connectivity and limit our investment and growth opportunities."
“With Agadir, Ryanair is adding another attractive winter destination to its Nuremberg portfolio while further strengthening connections to Morocco. This expansion reinforces Ryanair’s position as the largest airline at Nuremberg Airport and offers holidaymakers additional opportunities to escape the Franconian winter for a few days or even several weeks,” said Dr. Michael Hupe, Managing Director of Nuremberg Airport.
Flights to Agadir will operate every Monday and Saturday and can be booked through Ryanair’s booking channels.
