New destination starting Summer 2026

Ryanair connects Nuremberg directly with Morocco's capital Rabat for the first time

Starting in April 2026, Ryanair will be flying nonstop from Nuremberg to Morocco's capital for the first time. This marks the return of the North African country, popular with vacationers, to the flight schedule. The new destination is perfect for families and leisure travelers. Rabat offers explorers a charming mix of tourist districts with UNESCO highlights, palm-lined boulevards, and relaxed Atlantic beaches.

The Irish low-cost airline has been operating in Nuremberg for twelve years and has grown to become the largest airline with more than 20 destinations in the summer. The new direct connection to Rabat further rounds off the airline's tourist offering, as the Moroccan capital is considered one of the most elegant cities in the country with a fascinating mix of history, culture, and modern lifestyle. Rabat, Morocco's capital located directly on the Atlantic coast, is the political center of the country and the seat of both the government and the royal residence. The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region has a population of around 4.7 million, making it the second largest in the country.

The new route will be added at the start of the summer schedule in April 2026. Ryanair also offers a wide range of direct European destinations from Nuremberg in its summer schedule. These include Sofia in Bulgaria, Corfu, Chania on Crete, Preveza, and Thessaloniki in Greece, and London Stansted in the UK. In Italy, the airline will fly to Bari, Cagliari, Naples, and Palermo, while Zadar is on the schedule in Croatia. Ryanair will also connect Nuremberg with Vilnius in Lithuania and the Portuguese cities of Faro and Porto. In Spain, it will serve both Mallorca and several mainland destinations such as Alicante, Girona, Málaga, and Valencia. The offer is rounded off by Budapest in Hungary.

The flights are already available for booking on the Ryanair website.
