Purpose and legal basis of data processing: 

Protection of property, protection of air traffic and airport operations, hazard prevention, open video surveillance by the police at high-risk locations

Art. 6(1)(b)-(f) GDPR, Section 8 of the Aviation Security Act, Art. 4 and Art. 24(1) of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG), Art. 33(3 and 10) of the Bavarian Police Act (PAG)

Legitimate interests pursued: 

Protection of property, protection of air traffic and airport operations, hazard prevention, open video surveillance by the police at high-risk locations

Storage period or criteria for determining the duration: 

The stored records are regularly overwritten and are deleted at the latest after a fixed period, provided that no further storage is required for the purposes of preserving evidence. For the FNG and the police, this period is max. 10 days; for the Aviation Authority, it is max. 21 days.

Recipients or categories of recipients of the data: 

The data is only processed by the above-mentioned recipients within the framework of joint responsibility in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR; no further transfer takes place.

Information on the rights of affected persons: 

The affected person has the right to request confirmation from the respective controller as to whether personal data concerning them is being processed; if this is the case, they have the right to obtain information about this personal data and the information specified in detail in Art. 15 GDPR.

The affected person has the right to request that the controller immediately correct any inaccurate personal data concerning them and, where applicable, complete any incomplete personal data (Art. 16 GDPR). The affected person has the right to request that the controller delete personal data concerning them without delay if one of the reasons listed in detail in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes pursued (right to erasure).

The affected person has the right to request that the controller restrict processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR applies, e.g. if the affected person has objected to the processing, for the duration of the review by the controller.

The affected person has the right to object to the processing of personal data concerning them at any time for reasons arising from their particular situation. The controller shall then no longer process the personal data unless it can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims (Article 21 GDPR). 
The objection to the processing of personal data by the police for the purpose of preventing, investigating, detecting, prosecuting or sanctioning criminal offences or administrative offences, including protection against and defence against dangers to public security, is not permitted.

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, every affected person has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of personal data concerning them violates the GDPR (Art. 77 GDPR). The affected person may exercise this right with a supervisory authority in the Member State of their place of residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
