New Horizons This Winter:
Even More Travel Joy Thanks to New Destinations from Nuremberg
With the 2026/27 winter flight schedule, which begins on October 25, Nuremberg Airport is expanding its offerings with new destinations - and easyJet as a new airline partner.
Starting this fall, Nuremberg Airport will connect the metropolitan region even more closely with Europe and the world. With easyJet, the airport gains a new partner and the metropolitan region gains even more options. The airline will connect Northern Bavaria to London-Gatwick, London-Luton, Manchester, and Milan. Together with British Airways to London-Heathrow and Ryanair to London-Stansted, this creates a particularly diverse range of options to the British capital—ideal for weekend getaways, family visits, and business trips. For the first time in the airport’s history, four London airports will be accessible simultaneously, with up to 25 weekly departures in December.
The desire to travel south is also growing: Ryanair is adding Agadir and Rabat in Morocco, as well as Porto in Portugal, to its winter flight schedule and is bringing Seville back into its route network.
Wizz Air is expanding its selection of destinations in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe with the new destination of Târgu Mureș.
Numerous other airlines and destinations offer winter sun: Marabu and Corendon Airlines fly to the Canary Islands, while Corendon Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Freebird, and SunExpress serve Antalya. As is well known, swimming in the sea is possible in Egypt during the winter: Hurghada is served by three airlines (Air Cairo, Corendon Airlines, and Marabu) up to 17 times a week.
Major hubs remain a strong foundation for global travel plans. Lufthansa connects Nuremberg to its hub in Frankfurt, Air France to Paris, and KLM to Amsterdam. Turkish Airlines and Pegasus offer daily flights to Istanbul’s airports. This provides convenient connections to destinations around the world, ensuring that the metropolitan region remains easily accessible internationally. Via these hubs, popular sun destinations in the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean (such as the Maldives or the Seychelles), and dream destinations in Asia—including Bangkok, Phuket, and Bali—are easily and conveniently accessible with just one layover.
“The new winter flight schedule stands for diversity, reliability, and new possibilities. We’re creating attractive connections for people from our region—whether for vacations, visiting family and friends, or international business meetings. This is what makes traveling from Nuremberg so appealing and strengthens our connections to Europe and the world,” says Dr. Michael Hupe, Managing Director of Nuremberg Airport.
A Preview of Summer 2027
Summer 2027 is already on the horizon, and many flights are already available for booking. In addition to popular sun destinations and strong hub connections, the lineup includes Varna, Lamezia Terme, Chișinău, Brașov, and Târgu Mureș, among others. Greece offers a particularly diverse selection with six destinations, including Thessaloniki, Crete, and Rhodes. Additional capacity to Italy, Spain, Egypt, and Turkey makes vacation planning from Nuremberg especially varied.
It pays to book early. For more information, visit a travel agency or go to airport-nuernberg.de/en.
