Even more on offer: the new winter flight schedule features new airlines and new Eastern European and Scandinavian destinations 

The winter flight schedule for Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg (valid from 27 October 2019) includes seven new destinations and expanded capacity. After a break of several years, the Scandinavian metropolis of Copenhagen is back on the schedule. An average of 60 non-stop destinations in 24 countries are currently served, including 14 European capitals and nine international hubs.

New for winter: flights to Nuremberg from Copenhagen, Athens and Tel Aviv

The winter flight schedule is bringing three new nonstop connections to Nuremberg: After a brief interruption, passengers will again be able fly to Nuremberg from Tel Aviv from November. Flights from Athens are also back on the schedule. Both connections are now operated by Ryanair. After a five-year break, direct flights from Scandinavia to Nuremberg are available again. From autumn, Ryanair will operate flights from the Danish capital, Copenhagen. Other new connections are in preparation.

4.5 million passengers - a record year in 2018 and new challenges for 2019

2018 was the most successful year in the 64-year history of Albrecht Dürer Airport Nürnberg: it set a new record of 4.46 million passengers (an increase of 6.7 percent on 2017). The previous record of 4.27 million was set in 2008. The group's turnover is now well over €100 million and the annual net profit is also at an all-time high of over €4.1 million.

TUI fly expands schedule at Nuremberg Airport

TUI fly will again station an aircraft at Nuremberg Airport for the start of the summer tourist flight schedule. Germany's most popular holiday airline will fly from Nuremberg directly to Heraklion, Corfu, Kos and Rhodes (Greece); Fuerteventura, Las Palmas and Tenerife (Canary Islands); and Hurghada and Marsa Alam (Egypt).

Setting records in 2018: Nuremberg Airport breaks the 4.4 million passenger mark for the first time ever

Never before in its 64-year history has Nuremberg Airport recorded so many passengers: 4.467 million passengers used Germany's most popular airport (Business Traveller Award 2008 - 2018) for business and holiday trips in 2018. The 6.7 percent increase on the previous year is due mainly to strong growth in the tourism sector. The busiest month was August, with over 500,000 passengers for the first time ever. The most successful day was 19 August 2018, with 20,777 passengers.
