Albrecht Dürer Airport Nürnberg has been honoured with its 9th successive Business Traveller award as the Best Airport in Germany for business travellers. The airport topped the rankings of German airports in a number of categories beating well-known competitors.
Every year the specialist magazine Business Traveller asks business travellers for their feedback on the quality of airports in Germany. From July 2015 to April 2016 some 1,400 people took part in the survey coming to a clear decision: for the 9th time in a row, Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg was voted the Best Airport in Germany for business travellers.
Participants were asked for their feedback on all airports in Germany in a number of categories grading them from 1 (very good) to 6 (unsatisfactory). Nuremberg Airport gained an average rating of 1.96 ranking it in 1st position. The Albrecht Dürer Airport was particularly praised for its ease of navigation and for the short distances throughout the airport achieving an average score of 1.17 in these categories. "Less than 100 steps are needed from the entrance of the terminal to the security checks. Since opening of our new security area passengers enjoy the shortest distance possible to their departure gate. This is a huge advantage both to business travellers as well as tourists", says Dr. Michael Hupe, Managing Director of Albrecht Dürer Airport Nürnberg.
The airport’s accessibility by bus and underground, the extensive car parking facilities within close proximity to the terminal and additional services such as Parken Plus all achieved a score of 1.45.
The speed of baggage processing earned the airport an 1.58 rating. In both these categories, Airport Nuremberg ranked top amongst all airports in Germany.
The Business Traveller Award 2016 was presented to Managing Director Dr. Michael Hupe on 14th July in the Kameha Suite in Frankfurt am Main.
