A New Offer Straight to the Heart of London: Air France/CityJet will serve London City twice a day

Press release 05/12
Air France affiliate CityJet will be servicing London City Airport twice a day starting January 27, 2013. Attractive fringe hour flights will be particularly interesting for business travellers who can reach the center of London directly via City Airport located in the Docklands.

Flights on board the modern Avro-Liner `whisper jets´ will start from Nuremberg at 7:45 a.m. and 5:05 p.m. Monday thru Friday (arrival in London at 8:35 a.m. and 5:55 p.m.), return flights will follow at 1:05 p.m. and 6:25 p.m. (arrival in Nuremberg at 3:55 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.). Additionally, there will be a Saturday connection at 9:30 a.m. from Nuremberg (arrival in London at 10:20 a.m.) and a return flight at 6:55 p.m. (arrival in Nuremberg at 9:45 p.m.). Frequent flyers will profit from AIR FRANCE KLM’s bonus program Flying Blue.

For the companies located in the Northern Bavarian region, the connection to London is one of the most frequently used international routes starting from Nuremberg. `With the direct connection to London City Airport at the center of the British finance and economic capital we have succeeded in enhancing our London offer,´ the Airport’s Managing Director Karl-Heinz Krüger explains, because London City, he says, is particularly popular with business travellers due to its central location and quick clearance. Air France’s Director in Germany, Warner Rootliep, is pleased with the fact that this new connection will further strengthen Air France’s longstanding presence at Nürnberg Airport.

CityJet was founded in 1992 and started out by providing flight services on the route from London City to Dublin. As an affiliate of Air France, CityJet employs 35 aircraft with a capacity of up to 100 seats servicing various European cities, among them Dublin, Paris-CDG, Edinburgh, Nice und Münster-Osnabrück.
