Nuremberg Airport provides arrangements for barrier-free travel for disabled passengers.
This applies to both departure and arrival at Nuremberg Airport. Assistance is provided for people with reduced mobility and for seriously visually impaired or blind passengers to make traveling as easy as possible for them.
For this purpose, procedures have been developed, meeting points defined and the scope of free services for such passengers has been laid down in a specification. Collection/return is usually from/to the stated meeting points.
However, in exceptional cases and subject to timely notification by the passenger, collection can also be arranged before these stated meeting points. The passenger is charged for this service, as it is not part of the normal service provided.
An exception is made only for seriously visually impaired and blind passengers, who are unable to find the meeting points without assistance.
Assistance is basically provided free of charge from the meeting point to inside the aircraft and in the other direction from the aircraft to the meeting point.
